Human resources and risk managers for public agencies often find themselves squeezed between employment laws and regulations on the one hand and workers’ compensation legislation on the other.  It sometimes seems that it’s required that employers hire workers with medical conditions or physical limitations that could justify a workers’ compensation claim from their first day on the job.  Now, with Occu-Med, that is no longer the case.
